Life was a bit mundane with cooking, cleaning, coaching the children their homework and tidying up after them.... UNTIL I discovered the joy of researching and planning for our family vacation.
It started with our Italy trip which was put together by a Travel Agent (overseas) and she had a hard time accommodating some of my preferences. As a result, we had to sacrifice some pre-paid accommodation nights and conduct our own "on the spot" research so as to enjoy most of the Northern part of Italy.
With that, we kissed good bye to such tours and my journey to our very own tailored family vacation starts! We have since travelled to many places, either self-drive or catch the train or bus, yes with the kids, within the country. And discovered many more unknown places - UNESCO heritage or villages alike, accommodation with lovely Hosts and scenic nature and hiking site.
